St Ives is bidding to become the UK’s first ever Town of Culture 2028 — a brand new national competition run by the government. The winner receives £3 million to deliver six months of cultural events and activities in their town in 2028 — festivals, performances, exhibitions, and community celebrations.
To make the strongest possible application, the St Ives Town Team needs to show that this bid comes from the whole community — not just those already involved in organising it. That is where you come in. We have launched a short community survey — it takes just five minutes — asking residents what they love about St Ives, what is missing, and what they would want the rest of the country to know about us.
Every response directly strengthens our bid. The survey closes on Sunday 28th March and our application must be submitted by 31st March 2026.
