Once again, we’re delighted to offer residents and organizations across Cambridgeshire the opportunity to borrow and learn how to use a thermal imaging camera for free. Join a one-hour online training session to learn how to interpret thermal images, identify draughts, gaps in insulation, and heating problems, and to make your home cozier and more energy efficient. Great for homeowners and renters alike! We also encourage individuals, organizations and community groups to undertake training to survey multiple properties within their community.
In 2024, volunteers from communities across Cambridgeshire undertook surveys of 113 neighboring homes and community buildings, adding to the 325 properties that were surveyed by individuals who had attended the training for their own homes, a full report can be found here.

Thermal Imaging Training Dates:
We only lend cameras to people who have attended the training. Loan periods are: Fri pm to Mon am, or Mon pm to Fri am, and cameras can be picked up from one of 18 volunteer camera hosts around South Cambs, Cambridge City and Huntingdonshire.
