Repair cafes are held in St Ives 3 or 4 times a year, where volunteers repairers mend items brought in by the public. The aim is to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and encourage a positive attitude to repair and reuse. It is possible to book a timeslot to have your broken item repaired or just coming along on the day. Doors open at 1 pm and it runs until 4 pm; tea, coffee and home made cakes are available while you wait.
The next repair café is on the 1st March 1-4pm. Bookings have now opened – please email stivesrepaircafe@gmail.com and a link will be sent to you to book. Your repair will then be assessed to see if we have a repairer who can tackle it and a timeslot sent to you a week or so before the date.
