The Courtyard Market

The Courtyard is a charming open air community market, permanent home to around 30 independent small businesses, ranging from handmade Jewellery, Antiques, Vintage, up cycled Furniture, gifts, eco refills, plants, pet supplies and Craft stalls. The Courtyard is tucked away at the back of the Hyperion Auction House on the edge of the town centre, next to the Bus Station. It’s open 7 days a week, all year round and is a great place to pick up gifts, or just to have a browse for yourself or your home. The Courtyard was created just after the first lockdown in 2020 to provide a space for small businesses to trade safely and has flourished to become the vibrant market space it is today. Kate’s coffee pod serves lovely freshly brewed coffee at possibly the most reasonable prices in the area, and the open-air seating is a great place to sit and chill for a while, soaking up the atmosphere of this unique retail space.
